Indorama to build fertiliser plant in Africa

 Indorama management declared that all plans have been concluded towards the setting up of the plant, which will be Africa’s largest fertiliser unit. According to managing director Manish Mundra, the project was part of the company’s effort towards making Nigeria the largest petrochemical location in Africa by the year 2017. Elevator Manufacturer Kone acquires Marryat dealers in East Africa

Elevator manufacturer Kone has acquired Marryat & Scott (Kenya) and Marryats East Africa, in a deal that would see the company grow its grip in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda. South Korean firm to build desalination plant in Africa

 A subsidiary of the company, GS Inima Environment S.A, secured the Djerba plant deal through a consortium with Spanish water management company Aqualia S.A, stated officials at GS E&C. Chinese steel producer to build its largest overseas steel mill in Africa

 Hebei Iron & Steel Group has signed a 51 per cent stake in a venture with the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa and the China-Africa Development Fund to build the mill.
